A family dog who suffered a horrific chest wound the size of an A4 piece of paper is back to full health, thanks to her quick-thinking owners and vets at a Warwickshire practice.

Betty, a four-year-old German shorthaired pointer, tore her skin across the entire width of her chest on a sharp log while on her daily walk in fields near her home in Leamington.
